The 7th Avenue Studios will provide affordable studio living for University of Washington students and young professionals in the University District. The project meets Built Green 4 Star requirements enabling it to take advantage of Floor Area Ratio bonuses permitted in the LR3 Zone.
The architecture is defined by the semi-industrial urban design that faces 7th Avenue NE. The façade is made up of a combination of simple projecting elements and contemporary color. The saw-tooth roof form, typical of industrial architecture, ties in with the rhythm of the studios.
