Designed to replace an overflowing single car garage that held everything except a car, this modern outbuilding features 12-foot ceilings in the main workshop space and an adjoining storage space that keeps garden tools and sporting equipment away from the dust generated in the shop. The garage door pivots on a counterbalanced steel frame, creating an awning that provides additional shelter in rainy weather and further increases the usable floor space. Flat roofs channel rainwater into rain barrels for use in the shop and for landscaping.
