NK Architects was hired by Westside School to create a master plan for growth at their new location, a structure and campus previously used by the EC Hughes School. The move enabled Westside, a private school, to add a preschool and middle school. While the new school has been upgraded to be fully accessible, NK completed the permit requirements to move four portable classrooms onto the property, a first step in the relocation process. The next phase involves creating exterior gathering spaces and covered walkways. Ultimately the school will be improved with sustainable systems including photovoltaic panels and increased day lighting, to improve the indoor environment.
