NK wrote a code alternate that resulted in this complex becoming the first permitted four-story townhome in Seattle. The project also helped establish the definition of live/work in the city. Located in the Wallingford neighborhood, it includes three four-unit buildings arranged around a T-shaped garden courtyard. The street-facing live/work lofts feature separate commercial and residential entrances while a breezeway provides access to the townhomes. A shared below-grade garage is connected to each unit via internal stairs, providing ground-to-sky ownership.
