NK addressed the property’s unique site challenges—an odd shaped lot, limited access and multiple zoning designations—with a strategically designed building that maximizes the development capacity of the site. The building employs a reverse cycle chiller and air-to-water heat pumps to heat all domestic hot water, while offsets help the owners achieve carbon neutrality. The building also captures rainwater for landscaping use.

Stream Uptown offers high ceilings and storage lofts above the bathrooms in several units. A street-level leasing office will become retail space in the future, while below-grade parking preserves the pedestrian experience and community open space. Financing was guaranteed by HUD 221(d)4 loan program.
